NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 3, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Sound Royalties Founder and CEO Alex Heiche recently provided his professional insights as a successful music industry executive to students at Belmont University and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. A well-known thought leader in the music industry, Heiche shared his knowledge and experiences with students and other attendees interested in learning more about the business side of the music industry.
Heiche appeared as a guest speaker for Belmont University’s "Networking & Connecting in Entertainment" class on March 18, discussing how to best navigate the variety of social situations that occur in the entertainment business. He shared his experiences in order to help students learn how to effectively handle the fears and insecurities that can have an impact on new professionals when dealing with the pressures of the industry.
Heiche was also invited to address students at Vanderbilt University on March 26 as part of the "Blair Hit Songwriters Series" – a course that gives students a behind-the-scenes look at the music business and its production process. Heiche, who has worked with some of the nation’s top creatives, provided insights on how the world of music royalties works and what aspiring songwriters, performers, and industry professionals should know in order to be most successful.
Appearing as a special guest alongside Heiche at Vanderbilt was Kamaal Malak, formerly of the musical group Arrested Development. A seasoned musician, producer and singer/songwriter, Kamaal provided a closer look into the artist-side of the business. Through their conversations with Malak and Heiche, the students were able to gain valuable insights on both the creative and executive sides of the music industry.
"I always enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences with music students and aspiring creatives," said Heiche of the recent appearances. "It’s important for industry newcomers to understand the full picture of what the music world entails and the options available to them. The landscape of the music industry is highly intricate and complex, so I’m happy to help ease the transition for new business professionals and up-and-coming creatives."
As active members of the Nashville community, Sound Royalties and Alex Heiche continue to find new ways to reach the broader music community, starting with the future generation of industry professionals.
Heiche and other Sound Royalties executives are available for future speaking engagements at other university music programs, as well as industry events and conferences. To learn more, please contact Pamela Armstrong at pamela(at)redbanyan.com.
